Welcome Welcome

Welcome Back Kelly Brendan and Allie!
I hope you had loads of fun in your journeys, drank lots of cappuncinos and have some good stories from people watching. In fact, if you want to, add them as a comment to this entry so other people could see them. That would be great fun :)

It was actually a really good day today. I woke up a little too early but it meant that I got to read for a while and say bye to Dad before he went to work. I bought music on itunes, including a song that really inspired me that I heard while I was at TED called "Emma" by Emmanuel Jal. I took the T into Boston to have tea with fellow Yalie Katharine, and we actually had a really good time talking and then shopping around H&M and Urban Outfitters. Looking for some cool new stuff, talking about what we were worrying about, friends, hopes that kind of stuff. It was just a lot of fun. Plus, she likes tea. So we talked about our favorite teas for a while in the tealuxe which isnt nearly as cool as Harvard square's tealuxe, but still fun. I bought Patrick some Spicy Chai (one of my favorites) since he needs to be better acquainted with teas and their healing properties. I found some basics in H&M, like badly needed black leggings, green tights, a grey wrap, and a cool black skirt that my mom has threatened to steal already...good stuff right? And an AWESOME yellow flower tshirt from Urban. It was on sale and very very much loved.

So I was a little bad about time and got back to Newton a little later than intended...oops. But I went out to dinner with my parents after I figured out some of my plans for the next few weeks. Sadly I will not be seeing Sam tomorrow due to some unfortunate planning issues, but its ok. He's going to Oregon on Thursday, and we leave for Maine on Sunday.

And man, was it hot today! I felt like I was melting everytime I spent more than 5 minutes in direct sunlight. Scary stuff. Well tomorrow Mom and I are going into Cambridge to visit a certain Marimekko red poppy bed spread that I have been in love with for years...and maybe a few other places as we continue the college gear quest. And we pick up Johannes tomorrow evening, though Nico wont be back from LAX camp until Thursday. I guess I'll have to entertain him for the evening. Could be worse. So no Sam, but weird finnish person instead. Yay for entertainment.

xx
