Uninspired?

Hi

Have you ever had a day where you just felt really uninspired?
Like there isn't something exciting glowing just on the horizon I mean. Usually I am looking forward to something in both the long run (Yale :D) and something in the very short run (an instant gratification kind of deal). Today, for some reason, nothing could hold my attention for the short term yays. Maybe its because I have been so lucky and had so many of them in the past few weeks. It could also just be a low point in the week, since its the first time I've been alone all week. It was cool to meet some new people today though, and I found them all terribly charming. So yeah, you can tell them that Bex. Everyone was wonderful.

I tried out the salsa recipes I learned with Flor during Senior project today with great success. They were tasty :)

And so besides that kind of instant gratification, why am I so bah today? I rode the ferry back from my few days with Bee on Nantucket, and I was sitting next to this loud, annoying tiny white dog that breathed SO loudly i could hear it over my ipod. It kept looking at me with its FUG little black eyes, and I think I actually glared at it. But the drive home was harmless. And it was nice to drive and sing loudly to myself the entire way home. Plus this morning Bee and I got up early to have breakfast at Black Eyed Susan's on the island. And I got my Pennsylvanian Dutch Cakes (aka pancakes with Jarlsberg cheese. Which is love.)

So it wasn't that I had a bad day.
And yesterday I was very inspired all day.
I came up with lots of clever and stupid things in my mind to entertain myself.
Today? Nada.
I'm hoping some sleep and exercise and not canceled friend dates will make it better tomorrow and inspire me to come up with more new things to laugh at. So here is a list, like the one Gala Darling suggested, about things that I like/inspired me. In alpha order:

A is for (colorful) Artworks, especially if I know something about the artist

B is for Bee, always makes me a better person :)

C is for COLORS! (obviously)

D is for Deutschland

E is for Eggplant (as in the color...I hate the vegetable because it reminds me of eating bladders)

F is for French

G is for garden gnomes and other amusing/tacky things

H is for hieroglyphics...let me be specific, I wanna be down in your south seas but I got this notion that the motion of your ocean needs small craft advisory

I is for Ice Cream

J is for junk drawers...aka the place where you find all those cool things that you've lost

K is for Kopek? Since Russian might be my next language? I guess K is reserved for the Kwest to find my new language.

L is for love?

M is for Mutti, she inspires everything I do

N is for Nico

O is for Octopus. The ability to juggle so many things and keep them apart when necessary. and Owls. Because they rock.

P is for Penguins and Polisci...and the guy who inspired both of them (Dad :D)

Q is for the Quintessential

R is for RBG

S is for smoothness...like new ice for skating, colors, charmers, so fresh

T is for tramatic theatric twisted total

U is for Uwe

V is for Violet (my new favorite clothing color this season! its up there with Green)

W is for Windigos...oh that was long ago. ANDY!

X is for xx D

Y is for YALE

Z is for Zany. Thats how bmels describes my kind of insanity.


So I guess there is a lot of stuff out there to keep my imagination flowing. But it all kind of stems back to the tripping over the same rock twice. Or more times, in my case. The memory of this mistake dulls and loses some of its value but its always there. I can never successfully leave it behind me. MURRRRRRRRRR.
