Celebrations all around!

I spent today with two fun and very different people today.
And I talked to even more people I love on the phone.
I'm so lucky :)

I woke up and was basically chilling in my room, admiring the roman style olive green dress I spent the past two days making (from my own ideas based on the fun times I had with a towel the weekend before) when my phone chirped and Isaac wanted to hang out. Even though I was a complete cow and stood him up on wednesday when Bex and I were bumming around. (or rather going for 3 hour work outs. I cant even bend over very comfortably because my abs KILL). So we went and ran some errands for my mom in Newton Center. Woot woot. and we caught up. its funny cause in some respects we are in very similar situations and it was cool to know that. Plus he's just so chill that I dont really feel like I need to edit my thoughts. It's always nice to have legalized Terrets. So thanks Isaac.

Then we went back to my house and I OWNED him at badmington. What what! Still, he was a good sport and he wore my red flower in his hair for good luck. Yay!

I finally got in touch with Ellen and I got to hear all about her engagement! Which I am SO psyched about it's nuts! And I missed talking to her, so it was cool to trade stories about Europe and her time in Michigan and California and now Chicago! I have so many people to visit in Chicago now! I guess I'll actually have to leave my castle and go visit!

The afternoon was pretty chill. I got to wear the dress I bought the day before with bex, when we went into bloomies to laugh at ugly prom dresses and I saw this from across the room and DIED with the amount of love I had for it. It's purple and fabulous in all respects. I think its save to say that all my gay male friends would approve. Yay for fabulous! But the highlight was meeting Dad for our special tea in Boston. It was so sunny and nice today! We sat and talked for a while, since yesterday was his birthday and I love my Dad so much its crazy. He is actually my hero, and there were so many times in the past two days where I was writing him little messages and I cried thinking about how I'm not going to get to see him so much next year but I had such a nice spring working in his offices. Wow, I'm such an emotional mess, right?

But tea was lovely. and then we walked through the Boston commons and FELL IN LOVE WITH THE DUCKLINGS THAT ARE CHILLING EVERYWHERE! SO CUTEEE!!!! I even made it an order on my status that everyone takes 1/2 hour from their day to go and see them. SO cute. Ok you get the idea.

When we got home...the surprise party began! I was meant to distract him all afternoon after some boring board meetings, and he was as surprised to see all his friends (except the Mexicans who couldnt make it for the reasons that are splashed across the news) as my Dad ever is, in our living room! Dinner was a fabulous mix of people from different parts of his life, and great Mexican food (as usual. God I'm so spoiled. Good thing I learned to cook this spring!) And listening to toasts from the people who love him most...totally unscripted...made me cry. Luckily I had a little flute of champagne to hide behind while the tears spilled. It was such fun!

I also got to meet Paul's adopted Son, Roman, from Russia. He was very sweet and his English is already fab...so maybe when I'm learning Russian at Yale he can help me out a little bit...cross your fingers. Or maybe I'll take Hindi? I wish they had Danish lessons for me...alas.

The social contact of my day ended while I was talking to Patrick and the other 15 people in the room he was in (or so it felt). I got to hear a conversation that I was not a part of about bisexuality, some lady gaga songs, some ping pong violence...it was pretty rad. And now I'm hoping I might get to visit him while everyone's chilling up in Maine!? (I'll check it out with my parents. I'm pretty psyched to finally beat you kayaking. boooooyaaaaaaa)

But for now, I have a quiet weekend on the cape scheduled. Probably more suntan lotion protected tanning, and a quiet weekend with my parents since Pookie is away. I'm excited to say that Bruno came out today and I am going to see it ASAP! I also get to see Bee next week, which is always a highlight of my life.

So keep it real. I miss you if I havent talked to you, so send me love.
and I'll send it back.

Maybe even on artistic naked people postcards like the one that Patrick is going to recieve next week. hee hee hee...

xx
