I got stuck on the T under ground for about half an hour yesterday, as the lights and ventaliation system flickered on and off and eventually died, awakening all my secret fears of tunnels and closed spaces that you cannot escape from. It was not the most fun I've had in a while. And I blame it on the monsoons that seemed to sweep across the coast yesterday.
Paul and I were minding our own business, wandering around Urban Outfitters in Harvard Square when the rain started outside. He had to go, so we ran to his old very ghetto car where I got my target dorm supply bags and he left for porter square. At least I was wearing my rainboots! I did look a little bit like a box of crayons and I got lots of strange looks from people, but it was totally worth it. The rainboots were the only thing keeping me dry.
So then I got on the T to meet Dad in Boston...but I only got as far as MIT because the weather was so bad. We picked up Jenny without too many issues, but the storm clouds sat there, waiting menacingly. Today its gorgeously sunny, of course. But thats for the better, since we're meeting our camp friends for a day in Boston and reunion, which is so very long overdue.
So here is probably the last or maybe second to last update before I leave you for a week.
I'm going to Maine with the Familia, Johannes and Bee for about a week, and then I'm going to Smithfield with Patrick for ~2 days. We wont be doing too much, so it will have to be mega relaxing and wonderful. And when I get back, its time for final visits and making sure I have everything I need for college. What what!?
Speaking of which, I finally got the comforter thing that goes in between the Marimekko poppy duvet and the whole thing looks fabulous. I cant wait to use it.
so my cell works...text me?
xx
Funny how our scariest moments bring out the person hiding below the surface....
